Set up as a cotton trading firm in 1857 to be in the League of Fortune 500 today, the growth of Aditya Birla Group as a brand and as an identity is something which is ineffable. Today, Aditya Birla Group is a known Indian multinational conglomerate. A conglomerate to have marked its presence and dominance in various sectors and industries, Aditya Birla Group has come a long way impacting and touching lives of billions of people day in and day out. So has been the case with me. It seems almost impossible for not to come across and interact with the various offerings that Aditya Birla Group has to offer. My first memory of interacting with Aditya Birla Group dates back to my school days when each and every day I get to have my lunch served or rather my Mom’s food and love served to me fresh, all thanks to Hindalco’s Freshwrapp. Freshwrapp has always been a brand of trust quality and hygiene enabling food that is made with tender loving care served with Freshwrapp. The second source of how Aditya Birla Group has been Big in my life is with its range of Fashion wear. The offerings made by Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited has been a part of my wardrobe ever since. The retail stores of ABFRL - Planet Fashion and Pantaloons have become my go-to destination when it comes to shopping for myself. They have indeed become my one-stop solution for all my fashion and lifestyle needs. To add on the impact, Aditya Birla Group also goes on to have various private labels in their outlets. Be it formal wear, semi-formal wear or casual wear, brands like Allen Solly, Peter England, Louis Philippe and Forever 21 has always been a part of my wardrobe. Besides all other offerings, the one brand with which enables me to connect with people is Vodafone Idea Limited. I have been a Vodafone user for quite a long time. The merger between both the brands has only instilled confidence in me as a user. Vodafone Idea with its strong connectivity and coverage with a seamless experience has only delighted me as a user. To sum up, Aditya Birla Group has always been Big in my life and its contribution to my life is something that is inexplicable.
THE STORY OF NUMBERS
Being a student who has always been in love with numbers, I always had the desire to excel in Mathematics as a subject. I had always taken up the subject seriously and did always aim to perform my very best in the examinations.
When I entered Class X, I had sort of made up mind to score a perfect 100 in the board examination. I had worked and toiled hard day in and day out for the same. I do remember focusing on the process of how every solution was beautiful in its own way. Add to it, the continuous performance in my internals on one side added confidence in me and on the other side added way above expectations from the teachers. When I entered the examination hall I had in mind what I had worked for. 2 hours and it was all clear I had missed what I aimed for. I was sure that I had missed my target. I landed up with scoring just 90.
The after-effects were huge. My failure had a huge impact on my performance during my XIth Standard. I had performed miserably to be fair.
Soon I entered into XIIth Standard, my horrors were back. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to achieve what I meant. This time the challenge was not only to score a perfect 100 but also to keep in mind that the standard of concepts dealt with was way higher than what it was earlier. I kept aside all my inhibitions and started working hard again. I was delighted to have received 99 as my score. Though I still missed my target by 1 mark, I was extremely delighted to have improved so much.
