Aditya Birla Group’s big role in my life

Aditya Birla Group is one of the biggest Indian multinational conglomerate which is headquartered in Mumbai, India. With operations in 35 countries it has 1,20,000+ employees globally. It was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857 with multiple interests in viscose staple fibre, metals, cement (largest in India), viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbonblack, chemicals, fertilisers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services.

Aditya Birla Group has played a big role in my life. Since childhood it has been a constant partner. Whether it is the building that I reside in that is made up of Ultra Tech cement or the Freshwrapp aluminium foil containers that always kept my food fresh and hygienic.  ABG’s brands like Pantaloons  gave me fresh look, feel and confidence and brands like Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England that defined class, elegance and status.

I am a Mumbaikar who is always mesmerised by the beauty of Ultra Tech cement made Bandra Worli Sea Link. I always have a wonderful experience using the sea link in my Car which has tyres with Birla carbon nanoparticles to make my journey safer. My relatives live in different parts of the country but no worries when the Vodafone Idea network is here to make the distance disappear.

ABG actively conduct CSR activities to build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society and raise the country's human development index. This motivates me to understand my responsibilities and obligations towards the society.

I know you are wondering that how is it possible to handle so much but this had been made true because of ABG’s smart and efficient team from 42 different nationalities working is 34 countries worldwide. Thus, Aditya Birla Group is successful is changing life and making an impact on people all over the world including me.

Big What Is Big Does

As rightly said, ‘We don’t grow when things are easy, we grow when we face challenges’. Such were the challenges that I faced during the course of my life. I was in the 3rd year of my graduation and like management enthusiast student wanted to do MBA. I knew that I had to go through all the competitive exams in order to make it a reputed B-School. I worked hard, studied well, gave back to back to back mocks along with the college until the D-Day when I actually had to take the test. It was definitely not an easy one. I knew that I did not perform my best but the result was way more disappointing at below 50 percentile score. This affected my performance in other exams as well. Fast forward to next year, I again applied for the CAT as this year I was bettered prepared but unfortunately ended up screwing it again. I was very dejected. I honestly had a thought of giving up on my MBA dreams but then I decided not to give up and prepare for XAT which is perceived it to be even more difficult than CAT. There were people who kept discouraging me that XAT is not your cup of tea. I knew that it is going to be tough but I took it as a challenge and appeared for the exam and then there was the day of result when I actually score 94 percentile. I couldn’t believe it that I had actually made it. This gave me so much confidence that I then got a 99 percentile in CMAT with an all India rank which thereby helped me to get into my dream B-School. So, this is how I overcame my challenges and also learned that we should never give up on our dreams and never fear to take up any challenge because ultimately a winner is dreamer who never gives up.
