There are some things in our life that have always just been there. They are so ingrained in our everyday lives that we cannot imagine how life would be without them. One such association is with Aditya Birla Group. Belonging to a business family, my father who is into construction business has always abided by UltraTech cement which is also India’s No 1 cement . Like most involved in construction business, our company too has been using UltraTech cement for every form of construction including construction of roads, building and bridges project. My father credits the success of one of his important projects, the construction of a bridge at Noapara to the trustable Aditya Birla Group for UltraTech Cement.

Not only has Aditya Birla Group secured our present but it has also secured the future of my family like several others. Our family has trusted and invested more than 15 Lakh rupees in Aditya Birla Frontline Tax Relief, 96, Mutual Fund.  We have grown up wearing clothes from Aditya Birla Retail group. Starting from our childhood days when Pantaloons was our main destination for all the festival shopping to growing up wearing business formals from Van Huesen for interviews and life events , Aditya Birla Group has been the only constant in our lives from our embryonic stage to maturity. From offering luxurious brands of Ralph Lauren and Ted Baker to providing pocket friendly clothing at Lifestyle stores and Pantaloons, Aditya Birla Group has always made sure it caters to the maximum population of our country bringing smiles to thousands of families.

May our association with Aditya Birla Group live longer and prosper.

How I overcame a challenge to achieve my ambitions so far

Having grown up seeing my mother being actively involved in social service, I have always been taught about the importance of giving it back to the society while I am fulfilling my own dream of academic success. I had a good start myself with loving attentive parents, and I realised that my own strong foundation was the reason I could generally deal with life in all its seasons. Thus, from a very young age I started actively participating in social work ranging from visits to old aged homes, orphanages, or even food distribution. In school, I took part in every kind of activity that aimed to help the needy. However, even today social work is looked down upon. When I was growing up, most of the parents around and distant family members ridiculed my mother for letting me get involved in social work from a very young age, coming in close interaction with people suffering from mental illness. They believed it would distract me from my goal and would not let me grow up as a happy child. Moreover, they taunted that it was my age to play some sports or do other fun activities instead of trying to follow my mother’s footsteps. Even though all this negativity raised doubts in my mind during my initial days, my parents always urged me to continue my journey in the same way and to never look back at the people trying to pull me back. Each year I increased my involvement in the number of activities in this field, attending Thalassemia project with The Anthropological Society and I even received a special mention from the Inner Wheel Club of Calcutta Old city and my school for my significant contribution to social service. To achieve a part of my dream of being able to contribute to the society while I am moving up my career ladder I interned with Hope Foundation teaching English to children of the red light area women while I did several internships in field of a Economics and Finance.
