Aditya Birla Group, one of the biggest multinational conglomerates in India, is a name whose presence is felt in numerous aspects of our daily lives. The brand is spread across various vital sectors of our country, such as financial services, cement, textiles and fashion. I’m sure I’ve utilised or been a part of almost all the arms of Aditya Birla Group, however, two notable sectors to which I’ve had more exposure are financial services and fashion.
The Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Funds are one of the oldest and most established fund houses of India. With the presence of coveted fund managers such as Mr. Anil Shah, Mr. Lovelish Shah and Mr. Ajay Garg, the various schemes offered by this Asset Management Companies (AMC) have proven to be among the most attractive and successful ones in different segments of equity and debt. Through a project, which was part of my summer internship, I had the opportunity of researching the various schemes offered by Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Funds, based on parameters like rolling returns, risk factor (Beta), entry and exit loads, etc. This led me to analyse the overall performance of the various schemes of ABSL MF in comparison with those of other AMCs in the mutual fund industry.
Another sector where I frequent is the fashion sector. The fashion arm of Aditya Birla Group, Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, which includes popular global brands like Louis Phillippe, Peter England, Allen Solly and Van Heusen, is one of my major avenues of apparel shopping. The appeal these brands and their products bring to customers is truly mesmerizing.
Thus, this was my experience on how Aditya Birla Group has influenced my life, similar to how it affects millions of lives in our country.
