Pantaloons has been one of my favorite shopping destination for a long time. The service, quality, cost and most importantly the memories attached to it has made me a loyal customer of the brand. Pantaloons has been my go-to destination, whatever may be the occasion and it has always lived up to my expectations. My mother used to take
me to pantaloons when I was only a child. The memories we made there, remain imprinted in my heart. Even during my graduation, when I stayed away from my family for the first time, my mother used to call me whenever she visited pantaloons, and it always made me nostalgic. Whenever I visited my home town, Silchar, she would make it a point to take me to pantaloons at least once during my stay there to relive the old days.
Time has passed, but whenever I hear the name pantaloons, the memories come rushing back to me, of how my mother and I used to go shopping there. Even now, a few months ago, when I had to go shopping, my mother decided to accompany me, the destination? Pantaloons.
Aditya Birla group has been a big part of my life and has given me a lot of fond memories which I now look upon and cherish.
Challenge I overcame to achieve my ambitions:
Our ability to handle life's challenges is a measure of our strength of character. Every person, faces some challenges, at least once during their lifetime, which shape the course of their future.
In 2014, I was in the final year of my higher secondary education. I wanted to move out of my hometown, Silchar, for better exposure and opportunities. Because, despite of the immense potential of the populace, there was a dearth of opportunities in our town. I
had conveyed the same to my parents.
But to my sheer dismay, my parents informed me that our family was in financial turmoil during that period and we would not be able to afford an education outside Silchar. I was disappointed, angry and lost all hope. But my father motivated me and told me that if I really wanted something in life and worked for it with sincerity, no problem could stop me from having it. He told me that instead of crying over a problem, I should take steps to solve it. Keeping his words in mind, I started working harder and studying with full dedication.
While I was preparing for my higher secondary final year exams, I came across the Royal School of Commerce's scholarship scheme. Royal School of Commerce provided a 100% scholarship, inclusive of hostel charges, to students who appeared in the Assam Higher Secondary Examination merit list. My vision was clear, my eyes locked
on to the target. I started working hard, day in and out, to secure a merit list ranking.
Time passed quickly, I wrote my exams and waited restlessly for the results. And when finally the results came out, I was elated. My hard work had paid off, my family was in joy. The biggest satisfaction I received, was not the 4th position in the merit list. It was the glitter of pride in my father and mothers' eyes, as they stood by my side, while the Governor and Chief Minister of Assam felicitated me. That day I knew, I had made them proud.
I started studying at Royal School of Commerce, under full scholarship and graduated from there, securing the 2nd position in my class.
