The Aditya Birla Group being a very well diversified group has always played a major role in my life. In my formative years, I remember the role played by Aditya Birla group which made my life easier and better. The advertisements which I vividly remember was of Ultratech Cement with the campaign “Chalo India Banaye”, it being “The Engineer’s Choice”. The advertisement of Idea with the catchy tune, the story with Mr. Abhishek Bachchan in the advertisement in the village setup portraying that everyone will have their own mobile numbers and taglines like “What an Idea, Sirji”; “An Idea that can change Your life” left a vivid impact on me. The freshly cooked noodles that I used to have in my school during recess was packed with Freshwrapp’s aluminium foil which was my mother’s preference. Pantaloons has always been a one-stop destination with the diverse brand range and exceptional customer service.
Not just during my childhood but I have been associated with it till date. Louis Philippe suits have been my partner in all major interviews, meetings I have faced or held during my life. In my MBA journey too, Aditya Birla group companies continue to support me. It is the first time I have been staying away from my family but Vodafone Idea has helped me stay connected to my family. My family also has invested in Aditya Birla’s mutual funds which offers very profitable terms. Hindalco Novelis also has 65 billion cans recycled every year which is a great initiative for the future.

In college, while preparing for my 3rd year final examinations, my family had to travel for a medical emergency to Madras and I had to stay alone. Along with that, I had to manage a few meetings with customers who were coming over to visit the plant since my father was not well and thus I had to be present.It was a very big thing for me to go to the plant alone without my father as that fear fear had been instilled inside me always. Thus, I made a well chalked out plan to simultaneously manage both my studies and work.
I used to wake up by 5 am in the morning and study for my exam after which i used to go directly to my plant which was situated 20km away. It was a really important situation which had to be managed well and I became very confident after this incident.
While initially playing table tennis, I was not good at it and did not receive the support from my friends who were good at playing it. This was a moment when my self confidence was really hurt and I took it up as a challenge to improve my game with practice. I joined a coaching near home and started learning table tennis. In 6 months of time, I was playing in my school table tennis competition and landed up winning it. I was selected for the school table tennis team and represented my school in the district competition.This was a major challenge for me and I felt very proud after achieving it and learnt that practice is the only way out to become successful.
