Aditya Birla Group, the group with a logo of a rising sun, has made its presence felt all through my life. Starting from a variety of brands in multiple sectors to covering financial securities and telecommunication, it has become an inevitable part in people’s life just like the rising sun. Being the third largest private sector conglomerate in India, it has penetrated everyone’s day to day life some way or the other.
Starting from my first formal clothes shopping in Peter England outlet to my first suit at the Van Heusen’s, I have built an emotional connection with the brand. Pantaloon’s wide variety of apparels has always been an attraction. It’s clear that the apparel sector is ruled by the Aditya Birla group just like it rules the cement business in India under the brand of Ultratech Cement. Like the majority of Indians, my house is also built with Ultratech cement. It’s almost impossible to avoid the catchy slogan “The Engineer’s Choice”. Neither I would forget the stake of Idea Network in my life. In fact the conglomerate is so huge, there is a chance that I am using a product without even knowing tha the product is of Aditya Birla Group only.
This is how the group has made it’s trail in my life and has become an indispensable part. In a nut shell, Aditya Birla Group has always been Big in my life .
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions ?
Challenges are something which appear as hurdles and if we are able to come past them we become better version of ourselves or in simpler terms we become successful. I have faced many challenges in my life. Some of them has transformed me as a better human being as well as a better fighter. One such challenge that I faced after my 10th was “Taking things for granted”. It almost made me a failure, but I had the zeal to overcome it and I did that.
After getting good grades in 10th, I started taking things for granted as I thought success is something which becomes obvious if you have talent. I started avoiding my classes as well as coaching during 12th as I thought getting good grades is a cakewalk for me. But I came back to ground as soon as my 12th results was out. I was devastated yet I was adamant. So I thought of giving another chance to myself as I went for a year drop for IIT-JEE coaching. But preparing for the JEE was quite difficult for me as I was not conceptually clear. Again I failed there. I didn’t perform up to my expectation. It was a moment so low I thought I won’t be able to rise up again. But life goes on.
I joined VSSUT, Burla which is the oldest technical school of Odisha. Though initially I was not happy with this, but the first year at this college transformed my life. I knew I have to turn thins around, otherwise my career will be beyond rescue. I started the academic year on a serious note while most of my classmates were busy having the days of their lives. I was able to get good score in the first year and I changed my branch to Mechanical Engineering which offers one of the best courses in the state. I continued this till my last year. I even got listed in the Dean’s list of scholars in my 3rd year.
I learned this the hard way that odds won’t be in your favor always. But you need to be hardworking enough and you should possess that fighting spirit within yourself to come through with flying colors.
