Idea cellular has helped illuminate many villages, my village being one of them. In rural India, where power supply can be erratic, the lack of electricity can deprive a child of the right to education.
Through this it has not only illuminated villages but also lives of people. It has provided employment to the underprivileged women’s by supporting them set up SOLAR URJA LAMPS assembly units. They are trained to assemble and sell solar lamps. The project has helped provide solar lamps to approximately 2000 schools across nine states. This thus has helped in a three-pronged way I.e., providing opportunity to women to be the bread winner of the family, helping students study in schools without fearing current outage and lastly, by helping improve the Prime Ministers objective of UJJWAL BHARAT.
