Aditya Birla Group is a home-grown Indian organization which was founded in 1857 (162 years ago).
Through the years they have faced several hardships and challenges from within and outside the organization.
But despite all hardships, they have steadily grown to what they are today and have become one of the leading Indian MNCs in the world.
They have taught me a lot about challenges and how I must deal with challenges in my life:
I was born and brought up in Malaysia. Due to my father’s professional relocation, I had to shift to India during a very critical junction of my education, i.e my 10th standard board exams.
I didn’t know anything about the country, and major local language, anything about the Indian education system, nor about the mindset of Indian people.
All that I did know was that I had to somehow pass the 10th standard board exam with a good score if I wanted to get into a good PUC college the next year.
I worked and worked, quite hard, day in and day out. I got a lot of support from my teachers who understood my situation and helped me get through the course. And not to forget, my classmates who had my best interest in mind.
And after the exam, on result day, I was extremely delighted to find out that I had scored a CGPA o 8.2.
This taught me that no matter the size of the challenge, upon sheer persistence and hard-work, any challenge can be conquered.
