Being an active kid since my childhood, I had raised the bar of expectations by participating in the International Karate & Kick-Boxing Championship at the early age of 11 years. Doing well in academics as well as extra curricular activities, I was always looked up on with appreciation in my extended family. However, come Secondary School and my grades started falling as was my participation in extra curricular activities. Until I realized this, I had already completed my schooling and had become a careless, casual person who just played around with friends. This was a reality check for me when I looked back and realized that I had become an average teenager from being an enthusiastic and bright kid. I realized I made some wrong friendships along the way, due to which I lost my focus and direction.

Better late than never, I decided to buckle up and perform to my full potential regardless of all the external factors that come my way. Starting my college as a freshman, I was exposed to a completely different world. People around me were either scholars or party animals, there was no in between. Everybody was in a race; race for being the Topper, race for being the most popular face in the college, race for enjoying life (partying, gaming, travelling etc). But, I wanted to be good at more than just studies or just partying, I wanted to become the best version of myself, the child version of me, who achieved as well as enjoyed, but most importantly, learned and experienced new things.

Unsure of how to rediscover myself, I was lucky enough to find myself a Mentor; who not only taught me concepts as a Professor but also guided me in all the other tasks as well. Under his guidance, I was able to secure ranks among the Top 10 students of the University, along with managing college event as well as external internship. However, this was not it! This wonderful experience also helped me as an employee, when I was entrusted with managing a 2.5 months-long process. However, pursuing all this was not at all easy as there were a host of problems that came across. One such issue was the death of my uncle along with the birth of my pre-mature, twin-nieces. Due to the critical condition of the twins, they were hospitalized for 2 long months, which was physically and emotionally draining for all of us at home. However, despite this phase, I was able to cope-up with my work under the guidance of my Mentor. As he always says, “Take the problems head-on and always learn from them, improving yourself everytime”.

How Aditya Birla Group is BIG in my life

We all have different meanings of “BIG” in our lives. For some of us, it means large while for others it means a million smalls. For some of us it maybe owning huge villas and luxury cars, while for others it maybe about earning respect. However, the “BIG” actually comprises it all. BIG is something that covers all the aspects of your life. It starts at your very birth and goes on right until your last moments of life.

One such BIG in my life of 21 years has been ABG. Right from my birth, ABG was there to protect me against polio by providing polio vaccinations (ABG’s CSR activities). Moving on to my school days, the lunch in my tiffin box was always kept hot and fresh by ABG (Hindalco Freshwrapp). As a teenager, I purchased the latest smartphone, its screen again being produced by ABG (Hindalco Aluminium). Trying various telecom service providers, I am finally stuck with the Vodafone Idea (ABG), that is India’s best and the largest telecom service provider. As a freshman in college, Pantaloons made me ready for the parties as well as the presentations.

Moving forward as an employee, Idea payments bank served as an efficient tool in all my transactions and managing my finances. Even now, being a B-school student, Van Heusen and Allen Solly have my back for all the formal presentations and events. On the top of all, ABG has been along with me since lifetime in the form of my house (Hindalco Steel and Ultratech Cement). And it doesn’t stop here, ABG will continue to be the BIG of my life forever in the form of Birla Sun Life Insurance.
