Pursuing MBA was a career choice, Yes. But there were more than that to it. There were something about being a part of a company's strategic team, driving the company towards it's goal and ambition. Ever since i was in My penultimate year in my under-grad college, i thought of applying for MBA. I quickly found out that I had to clear one of the all India entrance exam to be eligible for admissions in any of the top colleges. I decided to take up some coaching in one of the institutes which prepared for CAT. When i went there, it felt that i was lost, people already started preparing months before it, they were attending classes regularly and i felt intimidated if i could even compete with them.I got one of the last slots in the weekend classes which used to happen in Saturday and Sunday morning at 7.30 AM. Then came my final year, and like all of my peers, i was knee down in placement preparation. But i didn't stop my preparation for MBA. i distinctly remember, even on Saturdays where i had placement processes lined up, i'd go to the center, give my MBA mock exam, followed by rushing back to my hostel, changing to formal wear and giving exams for companies which came on campus. From being a night owl, to waking up every morning to read newspaper and catch up on things happening around India, it was a journey. And at the end of it, i became a part of the pioneer HR batch at, T.A.Pai Management Institute, one of the few freshers who made it. Self doubt and apprehension were plenty. But with the support of my family and peers, i made it.
