In my life, I have always placed commitment and handwork above all. Here, I will talk upon some of the challenges that I have faced in my life & how I overcame them through sheer commitment and handwork.
I have always been aspirational in my life but been clueless about the path that I should embarked upon. Till engineering I was not sure about the industry that I would see myself to be working in while enjoying the work. So I decided to go with the flow & worked for an IT company wherein I got placed through the campus interview. While doing daily KRAs, I simultaneously explored various domains of a business & got inclined towards the field of finance & economics and I ended up quitting my job. During the notice period, I started searching for a jobs & internships in finance domain. Being an engineer, getting a job into finance was the biggest challenge I faced. I applied to many internships, jobs through various portals but didn’t even get a single reply. Meanwhile, I also took up various related courses on Coursera & tried to satiate the learner in me. After doing some courses also, I was jobless. Then I decided to introspect & talked to many people wherein I found the need & necessity of having a finance background to get into this industry. I chose to pursue MBA first among the two options that I had which were CFA & MBA. I had paucity of time to crack the MBA CET exam & it was my very first attempt to such a competitive exam. I decided to prepare in such a way that it should be my last attempt and I managed to get into one of the prestigious colleges of Mumbai through sheer planning, determination, commitment & handwork.
One of the other challenge that I faced was while working in an IT company. A task to fix a bug in an already existing process code resulted in getting an appreciation from my manager. The reason being that the process was entirely new & even my senior was new to the process. To resolve, I learnt the process through backtracking, though it cost me days but gave me the results.
