Aditya Birla Group, has shown its presence almost everywhere. I hail from Kolkata, and I have been around so many Birla Group’s foundations like Birla Mandir, Birla Schools like (Mahadevi Birla School, Birla High School, JD Birla, etc.). It would be an absurd statement if someone said that they have never come across which is associated with Aditya Birla Group. Be it cellular network, retail outlets, fashion brands, Aditya Birla Group has made its mark. One of the best mergers to tackle JIO was Vodafone and Idea networks, this had been eyes glued on the newspaper headlines and even my mobile app. It is shocking that even most of the phones we use, the screen is from Aditya Birla Group. Aditya Birla Group works with a lot of NGOs and have CSR activities, and the people they serve, 60percent of them are below the poverty line and belong to marginalised and vulnerable sections of society.
. They work in 5000 villages and they reach out to 7.5 million people annually. It also has hospitals, foundations, museums and scholarship programs in different parts of the country. One of the most humble statements from Mr. BK Birla was, “I don’t need a suit costing Rs 50,000. I will instead use it for charity.” It is very inspiring for me since, even after him being the owner of such a huge empire he was very down to earth, I believe his teachings is one of the reasons why Aditya Birla Group is such a big company.
