The only thing that stays permanent in life is the criticism you face for your choices and they stay that way unless you act and achieve what you are supposed to. People often ask me why MBA after Engineering to mock in most of the times, I believe they are the same who are certain that a 9-6 job is synonymous to what we have achieved in these four years of B Tech.

Certainly not, I beg to differ and when I saw an opportunity in the ever-ambitious life of an MBA, I left myself no choice but to go for it and in the process had to deal with failure in the first attempt due to some unfortunate circumstances. I was already determined to go for this coveted MBA tag declining my job offer from my college and had put in a lot of effort and practice not only to achieve a seat in a premium institute but also to start a journey which gives me a platform to redefine what is Engineering and how MBA is relatable. The process might take some time but eventually, I am looking forward to making it count.

The archaic mindset and the tremendous uncertainty that lurks around the corner is definitely a hurdle to be dealt but innovations, skills, and peer learning are what one can always take help of. Hence, I would like to conclude by stating that, "Rome was not built in a day."

How The Aditya Birla Group Helped Build Odisha

I belong to a state that faces a natural disaster of enormous intensity in every few years but we never fail to amaze people that how we get back strongly and life gets back to normal. Amidst all the chaos Aditya Birla Group has always thought of Odisha as an important player in India's development and considers Odisha to become a trillion dollar economy by 2030. May it be a downstream aluminium rolling mill at Hirakud, a four million tonne cement plant and an alkali plant at Ganjam, and with many more projects, Aditya Birla has already done over Rs 400 billion investments and its interests range from textiles to telecom and aluminium to cement. It has helped create employment for 12000 people of the state. It further aims to generate 25000 jobs through ancillarisation. Aditya Birla has initiated the group's green energy plans, promising that 100 MW solar capacity will be developed in the state partnership with Odisha Distribution Company.

These steps of the coveted company in and for my state is absolutely commendable and with the advent of new horizons in the field of infrastructure, technology, and development, I can foresee Odisha and its 500 million residents to be benefited sooner than later which will make Odisha a force of skills and resources to be reckoned with. Hence, I would like to thank Aditya Birla for recognizing the potential of my state and praising it for its culture as well as industrial growth.
