" It was just a day before you were accomplishing all your targets set for your prep every day- smashing every goal , but now it feels like you are drained both emotionally and physically, you are giving it double thoughts, do you want to do this, you don't feel like picking those books - this happens to most of us at some point in our preps that is what we generally call a burnout"
I was in the same situation in my cat preparation, I talked to my friend about the same, I said to him I don't feel like doing anything and he was coincidentally feeling the same, we searched the internet for the same there were several experiences certain theories as usual on the internet but later then I came across with a term called burnout I researched about it, the term was actually what I was feeling and going through then researched found the relieving solutions and got over the same. several of us don't know that it is real and actual term and you will never know it is happening with you, you will just feel like doing nothing, you will not acknowledge the fact that you don't want to do anything p.s. ( I know it's deep but as they say, it is what it is). let's see if you are facing the same and how to gain some relief and get over it.
THE DAUNTING SYMPTOMS --
- you start your day with feeling like every day is a bad day, no motivation to do anything, you think about doing and getting some work done but it never happens throughout the day.
- The majority of your day is spent on tasks you find either mind-numbingly dull or overwhelming.
- you feel low throughout the day and think nothing you can do that will give you the control over your work.
- you feel fatigued
- you don't feel like having long study sessions like earlier
- you procrastinate each and everything that comes your way, which you know will take you a step back.
- you feel like withdrawing yourself from the responsibilities.
- You feel like nothing you do makes a difference or is appreciated.
GETTING OVER IT --
- acknowledging the burnout is one of the first steps of getting over it.
- give yourself some time off your preparation, do something that you love and motivates you.
- take out some time from your prep on a daily basis, do some exercise, some socializing with friends. Don't be isolated all the time.
- stop overthinking and feeling guilty about the days you passed without doing nothing, look out for the future not the past.
- make achievable and steady goals that you can achieve.
- talk to someone about it, be it in a group of students who are preparing or your worthy friends, they will encourage and help you overcome.
- start your day with a mentality of a new day, a positive day ( its a small step but will surely help you in the long run)
if you are with me till here, I know what you are facing right now but be sure to follow the relieving steps and you will eventually get back on the track. I wish you good luck with the D-Day. #smashit #phodenge
