Initially, candidates are shortlisted based on their meeting the minimum sectional and overall CAT 2023 cut-off criteria established by the institute.
Following this, shortlisted candidates proceed to the personal interview (PI) stage. During this stage, candidates' performance in the PI and their overall profile are assessed to calculate a composite score. This score is then utilized to compile the final merit list for admissions to IIM Kashipur.
Let's break this down a little more.
Phase 1: Shortlisting Candidates Based Only On CAT 2023Performance
The table below indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for the PI. "Please note that achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted. The participating IIMs reserve the right to have a higher cut-off than those mentioned above."
Candidates are encouraged to proactively begin their WAT-PI preparation without waiting for official calls. Check out InsideIIMs WAT PI Edge Season 4 to prepare for the next selection rounds.Phase 2: Creating Final Merit List Based On Composite Score
Applicants who pass the initial shortlisting will be called for the personal interview round, a component of the Common Admission Process (CAP).
The final composite score at IIM Kashipur is calculated by adding the Personal Interview score (2a) and the Profile score (2b). This composite score determines the candidates' ranking on the merit list. In this scoring system, the personal interview performance of a candidate contributes 25% to the overall composite score.
While calculating the composite score, IIM Kashipur has assigned a 33% weight to CAT 2023 scores, 5% weight each to 10th, 12th, and graduation marks, 5% weight for professional qualifications, 12% weight for work experience, 6% weight for gender diversity, and 4% weight for academic diversity.
