PART A: WHY ADITYA BIRLA GROUP IS BIG IN YOUR LIFE?
GREATNESS IN SMALL THINGS
Time and again I have come face to face with the realization that the big things in life are not always meant to be colossal or flashy, they also reside in the small things that although go unnoticed, help us get through our everyday life.
The Aditya Birla Group plays a big role in my life.
In my school days my mother always used to pack lunch for me. One day she forgot to pack the rotis in freshwrapp and I had to eat my food cold that day. So, although I never consciously acknowledged the importance of the foil wrapper, I missed its presence that day.
Pantaloons and forever 21 has been a one stop destination for all my clothing needs for a long time now.
The legacy of Aditya Birla Group has been standing on the strong pillars of integrity, commitment, passion, seamlessness and speed.
And their products are a physical manifestation of these values.
Through their products they show us how much they care about their customers. They ensure our safety through products like Ultratech cement, it is one of the leading cement maker companies in the world, and with this quality product they ensure the infrastructure remains sturdy and solid. Carbon black tyres takes care of the safety of a rider on roads by ensuring that the tyres have superior grip on the road.
ADG makes innovative products, all the while keeping in mind to be a sustainable business.
All these innovations and development does make the company great but what makes is difference is the contribution they make towards the society. The ADG is involved in transforming over 300 villages into model villages. They have set up around 5000 medical camps around the country with all the necessary healthcare facilities.
And they also provide education to more than 46,000 students around the country in 56 schools set up by them.
The Aditya Birla group is a ray of hope for not only the corporate sector’s development but also for the society at large.
PART B: HOW YOU OVERCAME CHALLENGES TO ACHIEVE YOUR AMBITIONS IN LIFE SO FAR?
ROCK BOTTOMS AND MOUNTAIN TOPS
Rock bottom will teach you things that mountain tops never will.
And I have seen my fair share of rock bottoms.
All my life I have always been an average child, whether it was in sports or studies or any kind of extracurricular. The life of an average student is not easy. Many times I found myself pondering over the “what’s my goal in life? What am I meant to do? What am I good at?” questions. But no matter how much I tried to delve into my own psyche to find these answers I could never find any. It morphed into an existential crisis. I gradually realized that trying to understand your own self is quite hard, more so than understanding other people.
Also I never had a shortage of people who used to tell me their opinions and judgements about what I should or shouldn’t do at every possible chance.
It always used to confuse me because people’s opinion on what I should do and what I wanted to do always used to differ quite a bit. And it used to make me miserable.
I eventually had this epiphany that the only way to know what I actually want in life is to explore all the available options, being open to all the ideas and grabbing each and every opportunity that I could get my hands on and finding out for myself that what is it that i enjoy doing the most.
It was then that I decided to do MBA against all the opinions stacked against it.
But I decided that I will not let others opinions decide my future.
After all life shouldn’t be about what you can do or rather what people think u can do, it should be about what you want to do. That’s what matters.
