‘What an !dea Sirji !’ is still resonating in the ears of Indian TV audience. The marketing campaign for Idea Cellular has been exceptional. In terms of market reach this campaign has been one of the most successful in the Indian market. It is one of the things that introduce me to the power of a good marketing team. After that, I have been fascinated by different marketing campaigns run by various multinational companies. This has developed a very keen interest for marketing in me. Needless to say, Idea Cellular marketing campaign was one of the things that made me incline towards the world of marketing. Idea cellular was the first mobile network provider that I have used and needless to say I have a deep connection with Idea cellular. I experienced the uses of mobile communication for the first time and it had a life changing experience for me. It exposed me to the incredible knowledge available on the internet and the learning process has incredible thanks to Idea cellular. It impacted a lot of decision that I have made earlier in my life. PART - B
I worked in an MNC firm for more than three years. There was a time when the work load on the team was heavy and my team lead was completely occupied with the ongoing projects. A few more projects were in pipeline and my team lead was unable to take up new projects. As I have worked for more than a year in this stream, I have approached my management to let me handle the upcoming projects. Since I have never handled a project alone and had an industry experience of just more than one year, they were hesitant to let me handle the project. My manager had convinced higher management and I was assigned to handle the project under the guidance of my manager. I was made the acting team lead and the responsibility to deliver the project was on me, which is more than what is expected from someone with my job role. A team was assigned to me and we were able to complete the project with scheduled timelines. It was a good learning experience and helped me standout among my peers. With my exposure to the business arena during this project, I have decided to pursue a career in business management. But due to the strict timeline for the project, I have to make changes to my daily routine to make some time for preparation for entrance exams. Though it was tough initially, but the goal to pursue my dreams have made me work the extra bit to get into one of my dream colleges. #IIMRaipur #ABGLPWooMe
