Aditya Birla group started it's operations on 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla. Since then the organization have been growing exponentially by expanding it's business operations. Now, the Aditya Birla group is one of the leading business groups in the country and set its footprints in 35 countries. Aditya Birla group is a conglomerate which offers various products and services such as Branded apparels, Cement, Finance, Telecommunications and many more. It is highly unlikely for an individual (at least in India) not using Aditya Birla's product even once in lifetime.
On my personal front, I had many experiences with Aditya Birla's products and services. The "more" stores and branded apparels had changed the way how i used to shop. During my school days i was hosteler and allowed to go out once in a month. On the day of outing i used to visit the "more" store and buy all the groceries, snacks and all the basic goods that are required. As the tagline of more says "Quality 1st", it always stood true to its stand. I am always satisfied with the price and quality of the products and it made my life easier by offering all the basic goods under one roof.
After completion of my schooling and before joining intermediate I decided to buy new apparels. I wanted them to be good on me, stylish yet simple and at a decent price. One of my friends suggested me to visit "pantaloons" outlet and gave names of some brands like Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England. After the visit to the outlet and trying them on, I am happy because they were able to satisfy everything I thought of at a good price. Even now if I want to buy new apparels my first preference is to visit the pantaloons outlet.
Later during graduation days, I started to develop interest in the share market. I thought of investing in cement industry and started to do analysis on the cement companies. In my qualitative analysis process, I did a small personal survey by asking a simple question to 800 individuals. The question is "Which company name first pops into your mind when i mention cement?". The response is pretty impressive that 6 out 0f 10 individuals answered "ULTRA TECH CEMENT". After further analysis, I bought shares of ultra tech cement thereby becoming the part of the Aditya Birla group.
