Aditya Birla Group (ABG) was a company I had always heard about but never used ay of their products. Or so I thought. While doing some research on this subject I came across the fact the profound impact ABG’s products had on my life.
The first shirt I ever bought with the money I had saved up over the years was Van Heusen. I got a magnificent black shirt which I still wear on occasions. I had no idea that Van Heusen was part of ABG. Sometimes I ponder about my childhood. A distinct memory always comes to me, its my mother wrapping my snacks on a Superwrap foil which always used to be places on a shelf above the sink. I could always picture the Superwrap box with its distinct red colour and the yellow bold letters it which spelled out the brand.
After doing some more research, something much more distinct jumped at me. Every brand of shirts I currently have in my closet is a brand owned by ABG. From Van Heusen to Louis Phillipe and from Allen Solly to Peter England all are brands owned by ABG.
The time I forgot to buy my mother a birthday gift the first I did was run into a Forever 21 near me and try to find a gift for my mother. The ease with which I could buy my mother a gift and the relief I felt after is still burned into my mind.
Now when I look back I can appreciate the sheer impact that ABG has left on me and my childhood.
