Aditya Birla Group, this name is not just recognized as a fortune 500 listed business but it is associated with being an inescapable part of our lives. From the roads we walk on, the houses we live in, to the clothes we wear, invariably we are all connected to the Aditya Birla Group in more than a few ways. My experience with this multinational conglomerate has been a personal and fond one because as an MBA candidate, formal wear is an essential part of my wardrobe and I always find clothing of my choice from Louis Philippe. I find that quality of clothing is something that can be found in varying degrees across the various retail outlets in the fashion and lifestyle industry but when it comes to cool, comfortable and long-lasting clothing, nobody does it better than the biggest fashion and lifestyle player in the Indian Market. Along with my experience with the retail front of The Aditya Birla Group, I always find myself fondly telling people how my oldest cousin sister who hails from the interior part of Odisha with not as many opportunities as people hailing from the more suburban areas of India, successfully completed her Masters in Fashion technology from NIFT, Bhubaneswar as a gold medalist in her batch and got placed in Madura Fashion and Lifestyle (A division of the Aditya Birla Nuvo group) and since then has always been a continually progressing employee of the Aditya Birla Nuvo Group. I have, from conversations with her regarding her work life, understood that The Aditya Birla Group doesn’t just talk leadership and organizational values, they live by it. The organization has given her not just a success story to share but also numerous learning opportunities and the same has taught me that where you come from doesn’t matter as much as knowing where you want to go and with the right kind of opportunity lifting you, all it takes is belief in yourself and the learnings that you can carry with yourself from every opportunity that you get in life.
