Aditya Birla Group (ABG), is an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Worli, Mumbai, India. It operates in 35 countries with more than 120000 employees worldwide. ABG is present in almost all the sectors from fashion to tele-communications. ABG must have impacted every Indian in some or the other. It's presence in our lives is huge.
ABG has played a huge role in bringing international fashion labels like Ralph Lauren, Hackett, Forever 21 and many more to India. The first time I bought a formal suit was for interview in TAPMI and I had bought that suit from VanHeusen (at that time not knowing that it was a ABG Brand), immediately after putting on that suit it felt like I have worn some sort of a cape. I felt confident, I felt I can standout from the rest of the candidates who were there for a coveted seat in a premier business school like TAPMI. After the interview got over I did not know whether I will get a call form TAPMI or not. I was waiting for an email to pop up on my screen that I have been admitted to TAPMI. After a few weeks, one fine day I got a mail from TAPMI's admission office that my admission has been confirmed and it was a dream come true moment for me.
I started preparing for a new journey in life. I went shopping to Pantaloons for casual and everyday clothings, VanHeusen & Allen Solly for the formal wears required in Business Schools without even realising that all of these brands were a part of ABG. One day I was just casually glancing through all my shopping bills to get a rough estimate of how much I have spent on clothes. I noticed one thing that was common in each every bill and that is Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. That day I realised how much ABG has impacted and influenced our lifestyle.
