PART A
“Taking India to the World”, Aditya Birla Group is spread across the world with a huge range of products and services, across the globe. From agriculture to telecom, retail to textile, mining to cement, insulators to chemicals, and metals to financial services, ABG touches lives of each person in some way.
Surprisingly, I had never noticed the depth of ABG products in my life. As I sat to write this article, I realized that most of my needs from physiological to self-actualization are fulfilled by ABG. The house that I live in, the clothes that I wear, the bike that I ride, the almirah where I keep my things, the food that I eat, the insurance that I have… and I can go on and on and on but there is no end this list.
But beyond all these products and services are the social activities that ABG is into. Its CSR activities reach more than 5000 villages and caters to more than 75 lakh people. It runs more than 20 hospitals and has organized above 5000 camps, treating over a million patients. It operates 56 schools with over 46000 students. And, it has provided skill training to about 95000 people. ABG is above a conglomerate. It is above any culture. It is above any system. In India ABG is a renowned brand that has no end. In the end I would just like to say that the ABG has already made our life big and will continue to make it bigger.
PART B
Is there anyone who has not faced a challenge in her life? I guess, no. Challenges are a part of life which make us learn our strengths and weaknesses and work on them for the future perspective. If a person is not aware of his weaknesses, then how can the person improve those factors to reach greater heights? Challenges help a person to become resilient. It helps to become a better version of yourself. A life without challenges seems to be kind of pointless.
Many of us would have faced a point in our life when we must choose either post-graduation or a job. I was no different. When I was finishing my B. Tech in 2015, I saw people working hard to get into a post-graduation school. I, on other hand, was among those who were confused what part would be better. Eventually I decided to go for a job as software engineer. With passing time, I felt myself to be more inclined towards management. But still, I wasn’t sure that I should be opting for the B-school. I believed that I can perform better in CAT. But it was difficult to manage my CAT preparation and working for more than 14 hours a day, even on weekends, at the same time. Due to my work timings I was not able to join any coaching institute to seek guidance. I learnt to become efficient. Studying every morning, revising during my lunch breaks, and taking mocks late night. The D-day came and I gave my best shot and then I couldn’t wait for the results. Finally, the wait was over, I scored a decent percentile and was eligible for good B-school interviews.
