How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
Since childhood, I always wanted to be a confident, independent lady. It was 10th August 2012, my first day in hostel, when I finally realized the sense of independence. It was a whole new journey for me. Competitive students, daily assignments, semester test was indeed challenging. I always tried to participate in various extracurricular activities without compromising my academics.
It was in the month of July 2014, when my mother was diagnosed with an ailment and was completely confined to bed. It was a huge blow for my family. We shifted to Kolkata and I stayed beside my mother and motivated her constantly. I tried my best so as to strike a balance between academics and household activities and fortunately I was able to accomplish the same. By the grace of god, my mother is a survivor now. Two years later I completed my graduation degree in electronics and communication and was also among the top 10 students of our batch.
After graduation, I joined an IT consultancy firm, CTS. Switching from electronics to IT was not an easy task for me. The hectic schedule of the project would completely exhaust me by the end of the day. I received quite a lot of awards from my manager and directors in CTS for my dedication.
However I bitterly learnt that a programmer would not get promotion at an early phase. To be a part of management I must complete my MBA. Therefore I started preparation for CAT/XAT etc. and ultimately got my admission in XIMB. Now I am eagerly waiting to see what is in store for my future.
