As a student pursuing MBA, valuations and appraisals are always a subconscious calculation for me, but not only the financials. I had observed the high rises, luxury apartments, grand malls and vast colonies sprayed on both sides of the roads in Mumbai on my way to institute. And I have seen the majestic Bandra-Worli sealink standing its ground against rebellious waters, with headlights swarmed over it, is a show of strength and grandeur! And to think of the impact of Aditya Birla group on its foundations is awe inspiring!

How did you overcome challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
“If today is tough, tomorrow will be tougher, but day after tomorrow will be sunshine!”
This quote is something I strongly believe I need to overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far. Pressure is what gives a diamond its dazzle. I have had several rough phases in life, and whenever it felt as a limit of fracture, I have told myself not to break, because the next few days might arrive with new burden; and yet I have to shine at the end of it. I need to be capable and equipped, not just enough to tackle today, but also for the worse days to come; if they may.
Whenever it feels too deep to recover, or too painful to pursue, I intentionally start thinking of all the things that could go worse. How would I tackle then? What if some more of the delicate foundations break, or what if some more of the high-held dreams become unachievable? What if, the smaller successes I hold till now, were not present? This temporarily shifts my plane of thought, to something more chaotic and disheartening.
And then I bounce back, knowing that in the past, there were targets that seemed impossible too and there were years way too painful, but I conquered them no matter. This gives me a lot of self-confidence and strength. I don’t miss out on acknowledging the small feats I have achieved or the perseverance it demanded. I just find time to assess what I have, what I have achieved and what I have been through all the years to achieve them. And the obstacle I am facing today, can only test but not fail me.
I come from a small town of a developing state within a developing nation, with dreams of international acclaim someday, and the journey does not come without its own memories! And yes, every obstacle today will turn into a memory tomorrow. For hopes to be held, motivation is required. And once you learn to congratulate yourself for the journey so far, no other person in your skin, can be that good a role model for motivations.
