PART A

Being one of the biggest conglomerates in India, Aditya Birla Group touches on every single person’s day to day life in one or another way, and I am no exception. I would say, in my life the degree of influence possessed by Aditya Birla Group would be quite high, and it stretches from ultra tech cement to Aditya Birla Capital Limited, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited to Hindalco industries limited, helping to fulfil my basic physiological needs to fulfilling my esteem needs.
Aditya Birla Fashion Retail Limited and its iconic brands Van Heusen, Peter England, Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Pantaloons etc; would be the most influenced ABG vertical in my life, as it has helped me to remain classic, in a world full of trends. ABFRL Brands has never failed me fulfilling my sense of fashion, whatever the occasion was and helped being class and retaining elegance in every occasion, from family get-together to my professional occasions, and I believe they would continue to inspire me in the future also.
I do believe that life is a party and we should dress like it. being in a social gathering, or a corporate event or even being in basic casuals at home, none could compete ABFRL in tailoring the needs of not only me but also people around me, through Pantaloons, people and Planet Fashion outlets, by serving for all fashion and lifestyle needs, with accessibility and affordability and the best in segment selections. And as I am about to kickstart my professional career soon, my first preference in all my fashion needs would be ABFRL and its iconic brands and I hope, ABFRL would be able to with me throughout my life during all my endeavours.
PART B

Being from the southern part of India, Kerala, life has put forth an amble opportunity for me, to migrate to middle east, and settle a life with a job in some service sector over there, earn enough and return back to settle for retired life, but those perks which has been enjoyed my forefathers, majority of my family and my native people was never appealed to me , but setting up my own business in India was always my dream, which was against the conventional norms in our place and community.
From a rural backdrop of coastal Kerala, I completed my Higher secondary education in Kerala state medium in commerce stream and graduated in Commerce from a regional University, but MBA from India’s top B-school was only dream I had, when I have been endeavouring my studies. And soon after I graduated I started preparing for my CAT along with supporting my father on the family business, which was a retail outlet.
CAT was the biggest hurdle in front of me and IIM, as Quants and reasoning were quite difficult for me due to my background, and my intense practise driven by my dream was the only reason, I was able to clear CAT and get a call from IIM for interviews, and for the first time I wore a business suit and attended an interview in front of eminent faculties of IIMs and I made through it, becoming the first one from my UG college to get into any IIM in the past 52 years and I do believe my sheer willingness, desire and motivation would have been the factors which drove me to Raipur all the way from my small village, near the coastal lines of Kerala, and it was the moment when one of my dream came true.
Now I am here at IIM Raipur, as second year student of MBA, chasing my dreams further to mark my feet on Indian corporate world, and I know my path is pretty hard and I am only at the starting point, but I do believe that with persistence, patience, dedication, desire and commitment, there’s nothing a man couldn’t achieve.
