SUM OF PARTS MAKE BIG IMPACT:
Every business, big or small, strives to become big, but rarely do any brands come along that becomes big
in a person’s life. Aditya Birla Group is one such name that has left a mark on so many lives, one being
mine. The impact that Aditya Birla group had on my life may not be visible to the world but it hides
behind the tags of clothes I wear and holds the house strongly, that I call home. I vividly remember in
school when it was recess and after we finished off the lunch the only thing that was left was the fresh
wrap foil, and how we used to collect all the foils and roll it into one big ball and play cricket
I still remember the first suit that I bought for my farewell in school and felt confident to enter a different
world after I finish my school, and now that I am now pursuing my MBA the suit I bought from Louis
Philippe I still feel just as confident, after all, clothing is ultimately the suit of armor in which we battle
the world. Two years back we decided to renovate our house and construct it from scratch and at that
moment we had to decide on the raw material that would form the base of our house, my father decided to
put his trust in the ultra tech cement, the glue that holds together the whole house together. So maybe one
can not see the name of Aditya Birla product but the fact remains that these small memories have had a
big impact on my life.
PART B
Achievement
Life becomes meaningful when one rides the waves of achievements and failures. All one needs
to remember is that one should give all his efforts to rise up to the occasion. When I got in my
final year of school I was selected the head boy and become the first commerce student to
become one in many years. After graduating from college I appeared for CA IPCC and CFA
Level 1 simultaneously and cleared then and also got exemption in accounts and law. I also have
practiced and got better at drawing portraits and now I can draw realistic portraits and even
digital paintings. In my first year of college, I injured my knee while playing cricket and tore off
my ligaments, which resulted in me wearing knee wrap for two years as my knee joint would
slide off the socket. To improve my condition, I decided to start physical training and now I have
advanced to the level where now I can squat over 100 kgs. But the next challenge was waiting
for me in the form of CAT, and with the aspiration of being a student of top b-school of the
country I buckled up for the challenge, with regular studies and family’s support I managed to
bell the CAT and got into IIM Raipur, an IIM dream of lakhs of candidates. Now that I am in
IIM every day is a new challenge and successfully completing each assignment and task and
completing them is an achievement in themselves as they end up teaching me some lesson.
This is just the beginning of a new journey and new challenges are waiting to be met head-on.
