As an aspiring Human Resources Leader, Aditya Birla Group has been one organization which I have looked up to. A culture of acting, integrated with a sense of pride, unity and belonging, Aditya Birla group has always been an aspirational place to work at, for HR Leaders.
It has given me various learnings, with the most important one being: Big can be MASSIVE or MICROSCOPIC. Even the minutest of things can have huge impact in life and this should be kept in mind, while dealing with people i.e. the innovators or pillar of strength of any organization.
And as Aditya Birla Group takes “India to the world”, it would be an honor and a great learning experience to accompany the brand in achieving its mission. Even when this seems more like a challenge or far-fetched, it doesn’t sound unrealistic or unachievable. Aditya Birla Group has always believed in accepting challenges and converting it into an opportunity, and then reality.
Which is why I have always connected with Aditya Birla group. I have always been a spontaneous person, who believes even if it scares you, do the right things as opportunity never comes knocking the same door twice. The worst thing could be, I fail but at least I learned, and a learner is always a winner, no matter what.
My biggest challenge in life has also been my biggest strength in life!
Since a young age I have been suffering from vitiligo, which took a toll on my self-confidence and made me quite depressed. As a young kid, I had terrible anger issues, was extremely impatient and in general, a sad kid.
Today, after coming so far, as I look back, I laugh, I laugh on how naïve I was. Its been a long hard journey of self-realization, hard work, spending long hours in front of the mirror and giving myself pep talks and basically, just accepting myself, the way I am.
And all I can say is, every single minute and the journey has been worth it!
Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness and Speed has made what Aditya Birla is now, and I believe these 5 values can make anybody a top leader in the world, a leader who will not create impact but also drive change.
