PART A
Aditya Birla Group, an exemplar global conglomerate, has always stayed true to their mission of adding value to the lives of their stakeholders. The group has been omnipresent in our lives even without us realizing it, their presence in such diverse sectors has always catered to the needs of the people. I for one, have been swayed by how much of an effect the group has in our lives.
Having been recently admitted to IIM Raipur, I needed formal wear, something I had never bought before. Fortunately, I came across some life saver outlets and I filled my wardrobe with clothes from Peter England, Van Heausen, Allen Solly and some from Louis Phillipe. All of these brands offered diverse range from mainstream to luxurious, this incident piqued my interest and after a little research I discovered they all were a part of Aditya Birla Group. There are so many ways the Group has touched our lives from their trendy apparel to roads and mega structures they have built, it is almost impossible to have not been affected by them.
One of the most important ways ABG has touched our life is through their pioneering efforts in building a better society through their initiatives for empowering women, educating rural India, focusing on sustainability and helping the all segments of the society. Aditya Birla Group leads by example and influences as well motivates millions to stride ahead.
PART B
Hardships have shaped me into the person I am, my experiences define the kind of person I have become. I have been fortunate enough to travel our beautiful country, live with different people and experience different cultures but at the same time there was always a discomfort attached to moving. Shifting every other year and adjusting to cultural shocks was always challenging. I have changed schools and shifted to new cities numerous times, although it sounds exciting, as a child it was tough blow. Every year I felt like I was going to the school for the first time, new classes, new teachers and new classmates. I was shy, couldn’t find my way to the classes, had no one to talk to and was scared of the teachers. Every year I broke my shell and made new friends; but as soon as I started to get comfortable, it was time to move again. There were times when I lived and studied at places where no one could understand my language and I couldn’t understand theirs’, spent my days sitting in class clueless about what was happening.I don’t get nostalgic about my school life but I learned all through that period and not only in classrooms; I learned life lessons. All my experiences have turned me into an extrovert. I reach out to people and try to break their walls instead of building mine. The most important thing I learned was not to be so afraid of new places, new people and new experiences. I went through something everyone has to, at least once in their life and emerged undaunted by what life throws at me. I am extremely grateful for all that I have experienced and appreciate all that it taught me.
