Part-A: Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
Aditya Birla Group is a multinational conglomerate with a history deeply embedded with the Birth & rise of our nation. A group founded by Shri Seth Shiv Narayan Birla nearly 2 centuries ago, with unimpeachable values & has made its mark in today’s extremely dynamic & volatile world by creating large scale profitable businesses from the ground up. This group has become a household name for every citizen who in one way or other find themselves as a part of this extremely big family. With its global footprints in 30+ countries, challenging even the most established companies across the globe in almost every sector it has ventured into.
My association with ABG started back in 2012 & holds a very personal & important place in my journey till now. I was freshly passed out from school & looking for a field to decide on for my undergrad. That’s when my father took me to Ultratech cement plant based at Himri CG. From there one could say my inclination towards core sector began & I decided on to pursue majors in Electrical Engineering. But one never realizes just how much ABG has become a part of a common man’s life. Be it bringing biggest brands of the clothing & apparels under one roof of Pantaloons or motivating India to learn through “IIN” way before it was mainstream, or be it contributing heavily in the manufacturing sector providing jobs to thousands of countrymen, they’ve done it all flawlessly & effortlessly & have been a major driving force for the economy across all classes. Association with ABG is certainly a opportunity to cherish in one’s life.
PART-B: Overcoming challenges to achieve your ambitions in life

Be it ABG or any other MNC we only hear their success stories & the see empire which they have created but we fail to realize the battles fought by them in their past or the battles they fight everyday just to maintain that empire.
Joining IIM Raipur or in fact any one of the IIMs had been a pipe dream since long. The dream came very close to becoming a reality on 5th Jan 2019 upon declaration of CAT results. 96 odd percentiles may not sound like much, but for me it was an incredible achievement given that I had achieved this working 50+ hours a week. Prior to this I had been associated with Adani Green Energy Ltd as a Senior Engineer for almost 2 years. I was very satisfied with the job roles & responsibilities but something inside me just never wanted to settle for this, not right now anyway, preparing & cracking CAT provided the work responsibilities was far-fetched but I just kept pushing myself to achieve what I desired. Being cynical of your choices is very easy & even easier to quit but being optimistic against the flow of things takes guts.
I sat for my CAP rounds & was very confident about the outcome but the biggest setback came which I am still recovering from. Just a few months back the rock of my life, the man I idolized growing up, my father suddenly passed away. Turbulent times for sure, suddenly the path that was visible so clearly until now started to look murky. I almost made up my mind to let my dreams of becoming an IIM alumnus go. But even in the face of the darkest times in my life I showed brevity I never thought I had in me. With the support of my mother I am currently living my dream & I am sure as heel to make it count & make it big in here.
