Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai Campus is one such campus of the Narsee Monjee University that focuses on providing all the requirements of the students to give them the best experience of the education system. Spanning across an area of 8 acres, the structure of the academic building and institution as a whole is well addressed with all facilities.
NMIMS Mumbai Campus has 10 floors with about 60 classrooms, accommodating thousands of students in different programmes offered by the institution. Attached to each of these floors are maintained and clean washrooms. Its classrooms with proper lighting, a sound system, a visual support system, projectors, etc. are structured in a way to help students concentrate on their course curriculum. The institution also provides hostels for its students. There are separate hostels for both girls and boys with all the facilities and amenities required to reside there. They're situated in pretty safe areas, and the warden and security are always on alert. Few prefer to stay in nearby four rented residential accommodations of the institution. One can safely assume Rs. 20-25k/month including accommodation, food, and all other expense.
The library or the learning center, with more than a thousand books of both national and international levels, reference materials, and journals, audio and visual records along with the facility of the internet through LAN cable and WiFi has become a place where every single query related to the subject matter can be resolved.
The add on features of the NMIMS Mumbai campus includes a gym, 24*7 electricity supply, ATM, pharmacy, nursing room, all-time emergency health care facilities, security and CCTV coverage, sports complex and ground, restrooms, common rooms, auditorium, conference rooms, ambulance service, staffs quarters and private cabins, etc. The canteen facilities at NMIMS are excellent, serving healthy and good food. 1. MBA
This is a two – year full time programme, spread over six trimesters and leading to the degree in Master of Business Administration. The most notable features of the programme are its flexibility and objectives of providing a genuinely broad based education. Students are given an opportunity to improve their communication skills in a well equipped, modern language lab with computers and cassettes. Special classes in French, German, and Spanish are also offered to prepare students for international careers. Annual Seminar, CEO series of guest lectures, business simulation games, personal growth lab, psychological profiling, personality development workshops (MBTI), create all round development for students. Final year students have a variety of specializations to choose from, depending on their aptitude and preferences and have the freedom to choose from a large number of electives every trimester. They can choose non – credit courses and cross – disciplinary free choice subjects, to suit their individual preferences.
2. MBA HR
There is an increased recognition of the criticality of managing human resources in Indian business organizations. Specialists are in demand today for deploying their skills to hire, manage and retain talent in these dynamic & challenging times.
Recognizing this the School of Business Management at NMIMS offers a Full time 2 Year MBA Program in Human Resources. This program has as its primary objective the development of critical skills, knowledge and a holistic sensitive HR Professional who is at ease with both core business and people related challenges.
The program delivered by experienced faculty and industry practitioners, provides rigorous inputs on a selection of specially designed contemporary courses to develop the required HR specialist competencies and the right attitude for today's business environment. Every trimester includes Sector Specific inputs in the form of theme based guest sessions, consulting Assignments and projects, thus providing an insight into the people management challenges and practices relevant to each sector. 3. MBA Pharmaceutical Management
This two –years, full time MBA course is a domain specific course which concentrates on preparing the students to enter the pharma sector. After graduation students join the pharmaceuticals industry, some also join consultancy companies. Some of our graduates are working in international assignments in Brazil, Singapore and Basle.
This programme is six-years old. MBA, Pharmaceutical Management is received well by the industry.
