In my tenure in the internship, I learnt a lot more than I could have imagined. Creating ads, doing paid promotions, launching campaigns, and much more. The perfect ads you see are all after a chaos. The best thing about Flywidus was that they treated interns as their team and not as interns. I never felt that interns were taken for granted; rather, we were open to sharing our point of views.
The learning also included ice-breaking sessions with my team on weekends, which was a lot of fun. I was blessed to have a team who later became my buddies, constantly motivated me and supported me. Not every campaign we did was fruitful, so this required identifying the target market, which was a tough task as we, being in the travel industry, cannot particularly do target market segmentation. The main focus of our team was "Conversion", which was also a major challenge to us as customers mostly don't jump from portal to portal. It takes a lot to build trust among the customers.
"What is trending today?" was the first question every time we started planning for our campaigns and posts.
All the results which I have obtained during the internship were possible because of the guidance and support of my mentor. He always responded to me with a smile and whenever in trouble, I knew he is the solution to the problem.
After these two months, I have learnt a lot not only about digital marketing but also how to work in a team. This experience made me outshine my personality, I have become more confident and proud.
Now I look forward to my another year in UBS with more confidence than before.
