ABG in my life:
Aditya BIrla Group, in the name itself you can observe that big factor. Yes, one of the biggest Indian Multinational companies in India. If anyone asks me to name three big Indian giants, I will take the name of Tata group, Reliance and Aditya Birla Group. With around 162 years of experience, this Indian Multinational Conglomerate is spread over 35 countries in the world. In my engineering days, the first sim card I purchased was Idea. At a time when Airtel is dominating the telecom sector, Idea emerged successfully and gave a fitting competition to it. “An idea can change your life”, is one of best advertisements that I have ever watched. The first gift I gave my father is a shirt from Peter England. My sister’s favourite shopping place is Pantaloons and I end up there every time I take her out. So, as you can see ABG is related to my family members in one way or another. Obviously one cannot talk about ABG without talking about Ultratech cement (India’s Number1 cement). In the past 35 years, Ultratech cement has emerged as the best cement company in India. For any prestigious construction, Ultratech cement is the preferred product.
You can construct a house using Ultratech cement, can do economical shopping in Pantaloons, can connect with all through Idea and Vodafone. Thus one can say that ABG is everywhere around you and with you. As a mechanical engineer I was always fascinated to work for Ultratech cement and now as an MBA student, I want to join in Aditya Birla Group in the coming days.
Life is a Challenge:
Challenges... Ambitions... Life... I never thought of these words in my childhood. Till my class tenth, I wanted to be an actor (Not so serious, maybe my interest in films made me feel like that). After plus 2, I wanted to quit studies and join in marine. For that, I need some money but I didn’t get that amount timely. Meanwhile, I got free admission in Bachelor of technology through our state engineering entrance exam. My mother forced me to join but I don’t have any interest to join. Maybe because of my situations at that time, I wanted to earn money and feed my family. Then one of our family friends told about his life and ambitions. He tried to crack CAT many times but he didn’t succeed at that time. Because of my uncle, I was so attracted to IIM’s and for the first time in my life, I thought of doing something.
Joined engineering in the mechanical stream and faced a lot of problems. Then My college lecturer Prasuna Madam guided me, helped me and finally with her support I successfully completed my BTech and won Best outgoing student of the Mechanical engineering award in our batch (My short term goal at that time to receive a gold medal from my mother). Attempted CAT 2016 but unable to crack. Then again situations made me join in IT Company (completely different from my field). While doing my job I simultaneously prepared for CAT 2018 and this time managed to get a seat in IIM Raipur and now I am here.... 18PGP152 Suri Ravula.....
From my plus 2, I was independent, seen all the situations from then to till now. Got to know the value of Money, Time, and Friends... Luckily here in the college, I got good people (Dorm16). Good or bad they are with me and I will be with them forever...
