My answer to 'Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life' has many aspects to it. Be it Pantaloons, Allen Solly or More supermarket, the convenience provided by these stores is immeasurable. Staying in a city like Chennai, which did not have many fancy stores for clothing, Pantaloons was a blessing in disguise. The quality of the cloth was really good and the rates were quite reasonable. Their campaigns like 'Holiday in Style' , 'Colours of the Season', etc pushed me to shop from them, and I was really convinced about the style. Their clothes are trendy and fashionable and have made many people compliment my dressing sense. Allen Solly was yet another brand owned by ABG which was quite useful to me once I entered my college. Formals were required for many occasions and Allen Solly was my go-to brand. When I started working at Ernst & Young after my UG, I needed quite a few formal clothes. Allen Solly, Louis Phillipe and Van Heusen are some of the biggest brands in India for formal wear. These brands have the best collection and are quite reasonable for the Indian market. Also, there was a lot variety and this helped me in buying with ease. These clothes made me feel confident at work and every other endeavor. I have also found More supermarket as an all-in-one convenience store. People no more have to go to ten different stores to get chunk of grocery, It is all available now under one roof. Which is why I consider Aditya Birla Group to be big in my life. In a way I always associate it to be a premium conglomerate with all of it’s brands connecting with masses as well as classes.

I was in my second year of graduation when I decided to join coaching classes for CAT, XAT, NMAT, etc. to pursue my MBA as soon as I was done with third year of college. I joined an 18 month program which was actually too long, and I realised that I started losing interest in preparing for these exams. Then when I was in third year, the placement season had started and to my disbelief, I got placed in one of the big 4's- Ernst & Young GDS. It was a great opportunity for me and I was very happy to have been placed in a global company. But due to my early placement, I got a little complacent and did not take any efforts in preparing for my exams. I was very disappointed with the way my exams had gone, and I was fearing the results. As expected, my results were bad and I was very upset. But at the same time , I know I had no one to blame but myself. Soon after, I was done with my college and I started working at EY. My work was going on well, but as I spent more time I realised that for me to climb the corporate ladder and get into a position of responsibility, I needed to up my game. I realised that I needed a higher degree of education to prove my worth. Holding just an undergraduate degree was not enough to take up roles of higher stature. This motivated me to give my MBA entrance exams again and this time I knew what I should do. I worked hard and gave my exams. After the results were out, I had got call letters from many colleges across India. And thanks to all my experiences and failures, I am now a part of one of the best premier management institutes in India. I hope to reach the pinnacle of success, and make a name in the business. #NMIMSBengaluru #ABGLPWooMe
