A great lesson on commitment is taught to me by my father. Every morning at my home after waking up I have been greeted with the very usual scene of seeing my father preparing himself for his day at the office. Never have I seen him going unprepared. He knows his job admirably well and always tries to be the best at it. He takes his decisions wisely, one at a time, but once he commits, there’s no looking back. He’s committed to cater to every opportunity which comes in his way and make the most of it. He is not only committed to finding the best opportunities, but ensures the delivery of the quality in each event. His perfection at the job at hand is remarkable and that has to be because of the continuous effort he has put in. His undeterred commitment to his work has inspired all of us in the family and keeps inspiring us every time. His commitment to work has never interfered or reduced his commitment to the family. He understands his priorities and never fails to keep to his promises be it personal or professional.
An invaluable lesson on being passionate is taught to me by brother. He keeps on experimenting and is never afraid to try new things. He is passionate about learning and has developed a sense of inquisitiveness. He never shies away from different experiences and these different situations have led to an all-round development in him. It is because of this, he has the ability to adapt to challenging conditions and be a problem solver. His passion for learning and doing whatever he does with conviction and determination has developed a great personality in him and act as source of motivation for me throughout my life.

My commitment to make every day count and make the best of them has helped me immensely. My mother has always promised not just the best but also the fastest work. She is the quickest to see the demand for an item and is very pro-active in her approach. She has the capability to quickly analyse a situation and respond with the best way forward. The quick thinking not only helps her but has helped the family in many occasions. From the few mistakes she has made she has emerged to be the fastest to learn from them. She is very close to me and does not find it difficult to be on par with gen next. Her indomitable courage and her willingness to learn has made her adapt to the changing needs of this fast paced world.

In my short and wonderful journey of 24 years, the challenge which was present throughout was to push my limits, to bring out the best version of myself. The biggest challenge is to break the inertia of character, interests, likes and dislikes to explore and experiment with the opportunities all around. Although, much has changed from what I admired to become 10 years back, the thought which has remained like a constant in my mind is to be the best in whatever I do. I believe everyone has their own journey and that each person has to go through it. There are going to be junctures where one has to think and use their best judgement and that decision making capability defines what kind of a person they would be. Since very early I was a bright student and was very good at studies. But I was made aware of the importance of being a leader and take my extra-curricular activities seriously. Without even realising at that young age and following my parents’ advice has really helped grow into a multi-dimensional person I am today. I learnt how to play a harmonium when I was 5 and always used to go out and play with my friends on a regular basis. This has had an impact on both my physical fitness and mental sharpness. The all-round development has helped me unlock several opportunities and has pushed me to be at my best always. I was always keen on trying out new things and this adventurous attitude of mine has helped me peep into various perspectives in this universe. Taking an initiative to try out things and not being afraid of the consequences has changed my attitude and of the people around me. Seeing people miss out on things because of being introvert and having a shy attitude has always made me aware of the importance of being bold and confident. It was because of the efforts of teammates that we were able to register a Robotics Club in our college and was recognised for the same by being elected as its first President. The work and effort needed to make it a successful couldn’t have been possible without my long term commitment to achieve the goal. I was always taught to have a goal and plan my daily activities in a way that I would achieve them. Consistency is an attitude that has always separated the winners form whiners as being motivated towards your goal day in day out is a very hard task to do. By being able to make the Robotics Club formally recognised we needed to put in constant effort and have a goal in our mind as that helped all the members realise the importance and made everyone put in their best effort. One of the most impactful attributes of mine has to be being present. A lot of times people have missed out on chances and breakthroughs because of them living in their past glories or planning their future activities. Being present has taught me to be aware, attentive and adapt to any situation that is thrown in front of me. I have also made an impact by spreading across all the happiness and joys which I have been a part of. Be it a usual day at college, at hostel with friends, at the mess with the seniors, at home with parents and relatives, with school friends, with office friends I believe in spreading positivity all to bring out the best in me and all the people who are around. This happy go lucky approach has helped me make many affectionate friends and bring out the best in them. The jolly nature of mine keeps in good books of all my distant relatives who shower me with their constant love and support.
