My Challenges

My life is as normal as any other upper middle class kid which makes me think that I would really have to dig up the tiniest of events that came out as an obstacle for me. But, challenges don’t discriminate income groups everyone has their depth of challenges.

Mine started when I had to move away from home to go to a college in Bangalore, although in the same state it was my first time being away from home. I had to cry out my fears to get adjusted to Bangalore and the new people, travelling in autos that refused to put the meter on no matter what, getting things done on my own etc.

The baby moment went away and my three years of my hostel life gave me beautiful memories and I came back home to relax by taking a sabbatical after the “hectic” three years, little did I know that the mother who missed me a lot when I was away would hate me the most for lying on my bed and going out to meet my friends. A nagging mother was the least of my problems as I saw every one of my friends move on with their life and work.

I hung in there held on to my guts of getting into a good MBA college went through a year of my mother complaining about how I didn’t get a job because of my attitude problems and how my friends pressured me to come back to Bangalore to get a job.

Luckily I love animals and so does my family and we had had rescued 2 dogs and 4 cats, which made my time back home worthwhile. At that point where I felt that I had let down my family and both my family and friends had given up on me the only ones I loved and would reciprocate my feelings were my animals.

This made me a much more responsible person as I consciously didn’t fall sick and more punctual as I had to feed them and take them out for walks and since all the animals had different personalities I had to learn to deal each one differently.

A year passed I scored well in my exams and got into TAPMI which was the best thing that could happen to me and I am now complacent and although it is getting better, life is still a rollercoaster ride with smaller ups and downs for now and preparing me for the bigger one’s.
