There are three basic needs in our life; ‘roti, kapda aur makaan’. Aditya Birla Group has impacted all these elements in our life. ABG is present in farming as ‘Birla Balwan‘ to provide us food, the basic ingredient of life. We also pack our food for loved ones to carry to schools and offices in ‘Freshwrap’. ABG has left a mark on us even in the clothing industry through a wide array of brands like Allen Solly, Forever 21, Louis Philippe and Pantaloons which cater to various customer segments. The pillar of support comes through ‘UltraTech Cement’ which is popularly branded as the engineers choice to build strong homes. ABG has also established many educational institutions throughout the country. It has a strong footprint in healthcare and charity as well. Such are their powerful brands and their impact on our lives.
Challenges And How I Have Overcome Them
Throughout my college life I had participated in festivals only as a volunteer but never had I truly experienced being in a leadership position. This in some way had downplayed my confidence and I always felt a void in this aspect as this quality of mine had never been explored or tested. During my work tenure as a senior sales executive at CBRE, a real estate MNC, I had the opportunity to be a part of the core team that conceptualized and executed the idea of a PAN India Residential Festival 'CBRE Home Utsav,2017. When Utsav came along, it gave me the perfect platform to bloom and test my leadership skills and boost my confidence. We were tasked with tying up with Developers, Corporates, Housing Portals & Sponsors, & managing and servicing the live leads generated through the event. The whole experience of being able to successfully conceive and implement Utsav is very dear to me and is one of the most important phases of my life as it has increased my self-esteem and has moulded me into a stronger individual.
