A Fortune 500 company, Aditya Birla Group has its presence established in the cement industry, metals, viscose staple fibre, branded apparel, carbon black, chemicals, fertilizers and telecom industry, just to name a few. In fact, the group’s cement business, UltraTech Cement is India’s largest cement company. But how is a multinational conglomerate like Aditya Birla Group big in my life?
I have a personal connection with ABG, which will stay with me for the rest of my life. My father worked in Indo Gulf Fertilisers, Jagdishpur, which is a unit of Aditya Birla Group of companies, for almost 30 years. Not only does his commitment and dedication towards a single company astonish me, but also the allegiance showed by the company towards its employee is commendable. I have completed my schooling from Aditya Birla Public School (ABPS), Jagdishpur, and narrating this story is a proud moment for me as I get to express my gratitude towards ABG. One of the biggest achievements of my life is to receive the Chairman’s Award from Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla for scoring the highest marks in class 12th amongst all the Aditya Birla Public Schools of India in 2014.
Apart from my little story-time, there are hundreds of other ways in which I stay connected to ABG. Whether it is Pantaloons or Van Heusen, being a fashion enthusiast, I have tried it all. My wardrobe at any point of time is incomplete without these brands. While growing up, and even today, the values of ABG; Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness and Speed, resonate in my mind. I have always stood by these values and a company which believes in these values is a dream for me to work at.
