I am an admirer of Aditya Birla Group for the very reason that it had such a huge contribution in nation building, especially, when India required it the most, that is, immediately after Independence. It is one of the most ethical business group to be based out of India and has a rich legacy of 162 years. I have a very personal experience of using products of Aditya Birla Group be it Telecommunications, Cement or fashion. But the one that I vividly remember and have got a moment attached to it is with telecommunications, that is, Idea. My family’s first purchased sim card was of Idea and till date it is in use. All throughout these years we did not have even a single complaint, whereas when I personally tried sim cards of other operators I had plethora of complaints like call drop, over charging, etc. Apart from this we all have visited Pantaloons and are aware of the high-quality clothing and apparels sold there. I am also amazed by the kind of presence that Pantaloons has, I was employed in Jamshedpur and it is not a very developed City, but Pantaloons was still there, this shows how dedicated Aditya Birla Group is towards the development of the society. Ultratech Cement is a very a very rapidly growing company. It offers cement of very superior quality. Cement industry is a very capital-intensive industry but is required for the infrastructure development of the country. So, the Aditya Birla Group’s diversification into cement sector could have been for the infrastructure development of India.
Part B
“It is only failure that gives you proper perspective on success” this quotation by Ellen Degeneres always motivates me whenever I am feeling low. I have seen a lot of failures in my life and it is not that I have always emerged victorious, but I had been able to cope with all the failures and every time I took some important perspective with me. I failed to clear CAT in the year 2016. I did not lose my morale and took a positive learning from it and applied it the next time I appeared for the exam. I applied all the learnings that I had from my previous face off and this time I was able to bell CAT. I learnt to prepare well before I go ahead to face any challenge. I also learnt to plan well as it helps us to take into account all the things that could go wrong and prepare well to keep them at bay. There are many instances in my life that taught me to value time, prepare well in advance, be cost effective, express gratitude, etc. These habits help one to advance towards a goal without deviating. I am always grateful to any situation that is posed in front of me and that challenges me to perform at my level best and coerces the best out of me. If I fail at first it does not matter because it always gives a perspective which will help me in another situation of similar type.
