“The life is too short to make mistakes, but too large to correct them and learn. With a never give up attitude I persevere and persist to make it big in life no matter how many bottlenecks come my way. To keep shining even in hard summers, to absorb all the positivity and to reflect all the negativity is the only way to be a better version of yourself.”
How ABG is big in my life
The realization of how big ABG is in my life came with the exercise of writing this very own article. Life comes a big circle and somehow you need to go back in time to realize the significance of the brands your carry. My very own Trouser from Louis Philippe and the shirts from Van Heusen form a very close relationship with me since the start of my CAT journey. The brands have stayed too close to me ever since and gives me the confidence to carry myself with confidence during nth interviews I have given till date including the ones during summer internship placement process. The brands’ quality and comfort have hooked me to the brands and I must say proudly that I carried the same brands during my selection at MDI Gurgaon. Probably now I have to go back in time to realize that was that a major difference in interviews where I didn’t perform up to my level best. But that may be stretching it too for now.
Nonetheless, I feel ABG has been a big part of my success and I would not shy away from being a loyalist till the very end. This subtle realization is a blessing in disguise.
How I have Made Impact
Since early childhood I never was into academics till my 2nd year in college. That is when I realized the importance of academics, and ever since then I have been working hard to undo my past mistakes or acts of negligence. However, I have been someone who has been involved in the extra-curricular since my childhood. I used to write poems, participate in debates, was also part of the school band (drumming and music interests), and won laurels in sports as well. I learned a lot from all the activities which I participated in. I joined Panjab University and enrolled in the B.E. course in Chemical Engineering (God knows why), and at the end of my 2nd year in college I was in a complete mess, owing to my negligence and lackadaisical approach towards studies. I had 36 re-appears back then, and managed to complete the degree in time due to my self-realization and commitment to tackle the challenges. Ever since then I have been rising the ladder, and I was at a crucial juncture in 2018 to pursue an MBA to further enhance my potential in the business domain. With my hard work and god’s grace I scored a 99.42%ile and managed to land in one of the top B-Schools in the country at MDI Gurgaon. There has been no going back ever since.
I am a drummer and a sports person who likes to play various sports such as Basketball, Cricket, Football. I have also experience of 44 months majorly in Sales and Marketing, been part of startups, established company, and also has my own startup for a while. I have managed to course correct myself and have learnt from my mistakes.
The impact which I have created is incremental and there was a time when I was part of a startup with which I currently have a good relationship as well. We managed to create India’s first AR and VR Educational platform through the market research we conducted way back in 2014, and through the in-house talent we had at the time. Apart from this I had also partnered in one of the Parking startup where we ideated and brought in Technology to deliver smart parking solutions. Things didn’t go as planned. But we managed to secure 2nd position in Vincenza BPlan Competition organized by MDI Gurgaon, came 3rd at Asia Regional Level in TiE Global Startup Competition along with securing Top 50 position out of 10900 ideas in Axis Moves – Future of Jobs Event.
I believe somehow I still have not created much impact, although I have helped companies by closing cumulative sales of more than INR 1 Crores. The future is where I eye the most impact I can create.
