Moving to a new city can be an exhilarating experience but it takes a long time before one can settle in and meld in the new life and lifestyle. Moving from Delhi to Bangalore wasn't any different. A transition from college life to corporate was a major shift in a lot of ways, be it relations, work culture or even as basic as the clothes that we wear. And when it comes to clothes, I and all my friends had one name in mind: Pantaloons.

One of the major business sectors of the Aditya Birla Groups is ‘Fashion Retail’. Pantaloons is one of them which has gained a lot of popularity over time.

Thankfully, there is a huge showroom in Indiranagar, Bangalore which was pretty close to my office. Firstly, it felt familiar. Pantaloons is home to a large variety of clothes be it casual wear, ethnic, formals, sportswear and for everyone of all age groups. To top it, it also houses add ons like footwear, accessories, etc. Pantaloons adds a tinge of fashion even to your basic clothing requirements. Hence it is not just a clothes shop but a ‘fashion solution for all’. Bulk shopping and group shopping always work out profitable as there are points and discount offers.

You spend a few days at a place and it becomes your second home. Once we were comfortable with all aspects of life in the city, going online for shopping needs seemed the best. Pantaloons has a full-fledged portal for clothes online which has made it easier and time-saving deal. Why go for a third party fashion site when Pantaloons has a dedicated site of its own.

Pantaloons is an established and trustworthy fashion chain liked and recommended by many including me. My wardrobe has always seen stuff from Pantaloons. One less thing to worry about :)

Talking about challenges in life, I faced the problem of being underweight for a large part of my life. Since my birth, I had always been underweight and coupled with this was the problem of my tonsillitis which caused chronic fever and dissuades any attempts to gain weight.

Although, for me it didn’t matter if other people perceived me as being weak, however what troubled me was that I didn’t myself wanted to be in an underweight category. With many failed attempts of visiting dietician, coaches and nutrition experts, I was at the nadir of the hoping grounds till I decided to take things into my own hands.

I joined gym in the first year of my undergraduate studies and as usual, I weighed the least in the gym. But this time, I showed no weakness in enthusiasm and started to follow his advice. Although, I gained a few pounds during my first year however the progress started tapering over time, and my friends, colleagues and trainer started to advice for external sources of protein and weight gainers.

After doing my part of research into health and fitness, I realized that in real life there are no shortcuts to success, and I rejected any such advices. It was then that I realized that, the most difficult part of the journey toward physical fitness is not in the gym but outside of it and I tried to stay true to my commitment. Now, about eight years after starting my journey, I am not sure how people might classify my physique but I know that as a person this journey has really transformed my character and has taught me the importance of hard work, courage and determination. I now try to lead my life in a much more healthy and organized manner.
