Born to a middle class family with father as a retired government professional and mother working
professional, virtues of discipline and education have been strongly imbibed in me. My self, Nitin Koul
pursuing Masters in Business Administration from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human
Resources Development (S.C.M.H.R.D.) .I choose Symbiosis University because MBA from SCMHRD will
equip me with the necessary skills and tools for achieving my goals. Symbiosis University has an
excellent body of faculty, a rich alumni network and a host of post-MBA opportunities which make it the
perfect launch pad for a successful career ahead. As Ernst Hemingway rightly said, “The world breaks
everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken place.” I have had been through various ordeals
throughout my life and instead of looking at external circumstances and blame them for unfortunate life
events, l looked at myself and see if there's anything I can improve. Can I change the way you live so that
your life situation can improve? The answer is yes.
There are various challenges I have come across professionally and personally. Firstly, I was working for
multiple projects in Manual Testing of the software Application in my organization but recently, as per
the business requirements, there were some transitions due to which I was allocated to the "Support
and Enhancement Project" and it was difficult for me to change the technology in the small interval of
time but with the help of proper guidance from colleagues and sheer pro-activeness from my end I was
able to cope with the transition and adapted myself to the support project. Secondly, during my XI
standard, I met with an unfortunate accident resulting into the breaking of my bones (radius and ulna)
of my right arm. I was facing difficulty in even moving my arm but somehow I managed to go to the
house near the accident spot and try to placate myself so that I would be able to arrange an Auto
Rickshaw with the help of residents of the house. I managed to get the one and went to a hospital
where with the help of hospital authorities, I was able to get in touch with my parents without creating
any ruckus.
By constant guidance from my parents and friends, I am able to channelize my workflow and define my
benchmarks, and because of which, I am able to adapt myself as per the constraints and try to maximize
the efficiency of my work during my working hours. I believe in organizing and planning as I always try to
channelize my work (or any event) through proper organization and planning and with the help of my
mentors and peers, due to which I am able to showcase my ability for organizing any work or event
smoothly and efficiently.
Lastly, I want to end this article by famous wordings of Rikki Rogers:
Strength doesn’t come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought
you couldn’t.
