Achieving ambitions in my life have never been quite a simple task. Whether I talk about clearing the CAT or finding first job, it hasn’t been easy. I never felt I had put less than the amount of efforts required.
I cleared CAT in my third attempt. When I gave it for the first time wasn’t prepared well for it as I had focused on undergrad exams more. Second time I thought of not taking up any job and completely focusing on preparing for CAT. All I did throughout the day back then was prepare for CAT. But unfortunately ended up scoring a 58 percentile. Third time I took up a job (finding which was a difficult task in itself) and prepared for CAT also. Learned some qualities of mine too that I can very well manage two tedious tasks which I thought I never could. And this time I had achieved 92 percentile, surely going from 58 to 92 percentile and doing a job gives an idea about the amount of efforts that I had put in.
Finding a job for myself wasn’t an easy task. Gave interviews after interviews. But wasn’t able to get the job don’t know why. After three months I ended up a with job offer that I have never could even dreamt about, maybe through all these rejections life was making me wait for the right job. And this company gave me which no other company that I gave interview for could give. Better salary package, work life balance and the timing was also good and could end up with good amount of hours of the day for preparing for CAT.
So all in all I will say sometimes it less about the hard work, dedication and more about timing too. Maybe you are putting the amount of efforts required but the timing maybe not right, maybe the luck is not with you.
