One thing that I have always believed in is putting my best foot forward in whatever I do. I was very particular that the career that I will be in 10 years from now, needs to use my best strengths. Even though I liked what I was doing in my previous job, I hated every bit of the work environment. I knew I needed to work out a solution and hence decided to give CAT. In a corporate job which demanded often 10-12 hours a day, studying for a competitive exam seemed like a distant dream. Far more than opening a book and studying after a real hectic day, the bigger challenge in front of me was to find motivation and keep it moving. Even though I put in hours of work, I was unable to get fair scores. I cut myself out from all leisure and started preparing for the exam. My mother's failing health demanded my presence at home, being the eldest son of the family. There came a time when I didn't know what to look forward to. It took a negative toll on my mental well being and there came a point where I could go no further.

It was then that I decided to take a step backward and let things flow. I understood, stressing myself out is not helping and I need to allot time for leisure too. What followed was a planned life style and utilising every bit of the time carefully. Taking the book to study after reaching home at 9 PM not crashing at the bed, along with handling the role of the son without loosing mind took immense courage. It was a lesson that I will Always keep close to me, to not lose track of our goal.

I can accept failure. Everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept NOT TRYING.
