Dynamic, vibrant and youthful nature of the Aditya Birla Group fascinates the story of change and transformation. “Birla Haveli” in Rajasthan, 1860 where all it started by respected Shiv Narayan Birla and now transformed into multiple companies over 35 countries acquired in fields like CARBON black, Universal Financial Solution, Aluminium, Cellular, Cement, E-commerce, Mutual funds, Fashion stores and many more. Which clearly shows the engagement of our daily life with Aditya Birla Group.

The introduction of many clothing brands like louis philippe, Allen Solly, and Peter England targeted Upper high segment, high segment, and middle-class customer to help in improving their lifestyle, which even helped me in my college placement interview as PE was affordable for me and till date I experienced the most comfortable formal shirts in the economical range.

What actually I have experienced in my life and coincidently Aditya Birla group was the part of it, it all started when I was a kid and many times I used to go with my father who was working as a civil contractor for a private firm AD Hydro Power Ltd. in Manali, H.P which was a very beautiful place and there I could see a heap of Cement bag named UltraTech cement. One thing I liked about my father is that he never allows the kids of the worker to work there albeit there was not as such audit that would ensure the child labour on that critical level. My father always treats all the worker very friendly and helpful. One thing I noticed every time I go with my father that after labour finishes their work, they always carry that yellow colour empty cement bag with them and I used to think that they would have given instructions that they need to dispose it at some designated place.

After many days of observations, it became very curious for me to know where all they throw that bag? It was raining that day when me and my father was just passing by the residence(Tent type) of those labour, and I surprised to see that there were small tent near a big tent which was made up of that empty cement bag of Ultratech cement, they knitted all of them together and was placed in shape of tent layer by layer . I saw inside tend and saw their kids were doing their homework that too sitting on the mat which was also made up of that empty cement bag, it might sound very little thing but for that moment I was surprised and asked myself where I stand, my thoughts were limited to the use of any waste product that we throw like the wrapper of chocolate we throw anywhere and still we make excuse for our many situations.

On that day albeit I didn’t get any kick for my life-changing turnout by looking at them, one thing was clear in my mind that even I have the privileged to eat good food and live better life than the kids who were just 4 to 5 years younger than me and living in tents that too made up of waste cement bags in that freezing temperature conditions.

From that day till now whatever small or big things I have achieved is only due to my hard work. I came to know that if we have to succeed in life we have to make use of every resource very intelligently even if it is a piece of useless empty Cement Bag.
