I overcame every challenge in my life by having a quick presence of mind, working hard, setting small goals and being disciplined.
I captained my college cricket team. It sounds easy but the journey was very difficult. It is difficult to make your identity among senior players. It is even tougher when they play fantastic. I went for the cricket audition trail in my first year of graduation, I was straight away rejected, not because I was not good but others were certainly more deserving than me. I analyzed myself and drafted a road map to achieve my ambition. The ambition was clear that is to get into the college cricket team. I set the small goals daily for myself which involves - waking up early in the morning, to run daily for two kilometers and practice bowling and batting in the net. I was disciplined with my targets and continued for 4 months until the next trial came.
I registered myself for the all-rounder. But it seems every student who came for the trial was registered for the same. The participants were huge in number. I went to the trial committee and requested them to move my name to the bowling section. The rationale behind that was very clear - fewer players were registered for the bowling and my goal at that time was to enter into the team. I had a belief that once I enter into the team I can prove myself as an all-rounder. I sense the situation well and made the quick decision which proved to be right. As I had been practicing bowling in the net, I performed well in the trail and get into the team. I proved my worth in the team and looking at my performance track I was promoted as captain.
