Growing up I have always felt the society treats women to be inferior than men. But when I completed school and started my college in a different city I realised it is not the whole society that is treating the women inferiorly but certain segments of it. At that point of time I determined that I want to achieve something in life, make an identity for myself that is not dependent upon any factor other than my hard work and passion. But setting your goal and achieving it are two different things. There is a long journey between those two and while making path for yourself on it you may face certain challenges.
Taking higher education and working in a corporate world whilst living away from home for girls is not a very common notion from where I come. Thus, preparing for it and relocating to a different state for it, I had to prove myself on every occasion that I am capable of doing this and I have the potential to get admission in one of the premier institutes of management in India. But I didn’t give up on my ambitions and prepared for CAT examination. When I got shortlisted for various institutes, I kept my focus on working upon myself to clear the further rounds. The one thing that I realised from my whole journey is that the dedication and hard work pays off, maybe not immediately but eventually.
