Overcoming Challenges and how to convert them into Milestones - TAPMI

My family had to face a rough patch both financially and emotionally when my father had a huge loss in business. One of our other family members cheated my father and made a huge loss in our family business. My father had to bear all the loss and loans. We couldn’t earn enough to run a family of four on top of which we were required to clear all the loans and losses. All the earnings were spent in clearing the debts. My mother is a housewife but due to this she had to start her own side business so that we could sustain our finances. Even my father’s business partner left the firm and took all his investment. We were not earning enough to even pay for school fees. People were suggesting leaving the school and drop a few years. Additionally, these years were teenage years of my brother and my life. This is when our career path and future was to be shaped. Any impact on these years could have damaged the career. Yet we kept faith and patience and I helped my parents in every way possible to get out of this circumstance. I used to help my father and mother in their business after our school hours. We didn’t invest in any extra activity, concentrated and saved all the finances for education and to improve our future. During this period, I completed my high school, Standard 12^th and got admitted to an engineering college. With everything going on in the background, it is hard to concentrate on the studies or everything else. I even got got a secure job during this phase. This phase of our life thought us to have patience and made us learn how to maintain finances. These challenges were tough to overcome to achieve whatever I had achieved till now, but has made be believe in myself and whatever I do.
