Part I

Aditya Birla Group has always been a part of our lives due to its business in multiple segments. It was established 162 years ago in 1857. It has its business in Textile industry, Agribusiness, Carbon Black, Chemicals, E-commerce, Finance, Mining, Retail, Telecommunications, and Wind Power. With these many businesses it has become third largest Indian sector conglomerate with revenue of US $44.3 billion in the year 2018 behind Tata Group and RIL.

Most common brands that I have encountered are Ultratech Cement, Pantaloons, Vodafone-Idea and Abof. Recall value of Ultratech is very high. Whenever you move forward with a construction work only 2-3 cement brands come in your notice and Ultratech cement has always been there.  It is one of the world’s top cement manufacturers. Additionally, the company is the largest clinker exporter in India. Pantaloons come in your surroundings whenever you visit a mall. Most malls, specifically talking about the NCR region has a big area designated to Pantaloons in the malls and the markets. We get top brands and a variety under one roof. The next is the Vodafone-Idea merger. This merger has become the number one company in the telecom industry ahead of Airtel and Reliance Jio. Next that comes in the list is Abof which is in the E-commerce for fashion apparel. This is a very recent addition to the ABG understanding the presence and increase of E-commerce usage in India.

Hence this shows that Aditya Birla Group identifies the market well has its presence everywhere to stabilize its business.

Part II

Since a young age, I had a keen interest in Fine Arts. I built a highly inseparable relationship with art and craft. I compete in various competitions as a young kid, be it in school or college.

When I was in my graduation days, in Dyal Singh College, DU. I was appointed as the Club Head of the Fine Art Society of the college in my third year. I had joined as a crew member in my first year, and grew up to be the head in my last year. It was a feeling of sheer pride and satisfaction, but I had a tough path cut out for me ahead.

Till then, even though the club had grown and performed well in different events and fests, we were unable to build a core team. Every other day someone decided to leave and we had to get in new people. This was hampering the morale and motivation levels of the team. Being the Head, my Co-Head and I had to make sure that the team remains strong and intact, once we hire a fresh bunch from there-on. We started involving every member in every meeting and practices, taking feedbacks and suggestions, giving them chances to contribute while preparing for plans for college fests. We conducted off-practice bonding sessions so that the team got to know each other and grew as a family. Apart from all this, I made sure our practice sessions were strict and focused so that we grew as a team who can take on any completion around. Gradually we had a team who practiced together, spent time together, relaxed together and if in any case we did not achieve the desired results, sat back and reviewed together. I felt that a team was being built and when I graduated, the team grew by leaps and bounds in the following years winning competitions across the city.
