Right from the day, I started understanding what big brands and business tycoons are, I always

kept on hearing names like the Birla and Tata. The Birla group has always been known for its

principle of pursuing business goals with the dedication of a saint. The heritage that emerged

in the 19th Century founded by Late. Seth Shiv Narayan Birla evolved to be one of the biggest

catalysts for the Industrial Revolution in India post-Independence. Today ABGL is touching a

million lives every day in various forms it has evolved into.

The oldest example I could remember was in the year 2002 when my father bought a mobile

phone. The cellular service on which it operated was Idea cellular. I got to know from my father

that it’s a part of Aditya Birla Group. In later years I remember shopping with my families in

retail shops like Pantaloons and Lifestyle again a brand from the Aditya Birla group. In my

teenage and college life, I was always obsessed with owning brands like Allen Solly, Louis

Philippe, Peter England, and Van Heusen. Any middle class college student or teenager like

me would think that these are foreign brands, also their excellent quality and touch & feel even

strengthened that belief. It took quite a few years and online surfing to realize that these are not

foreign brands but are proudly Indian and are brands under umbrella of Aditya Birla Group.

Today ABGL has touched the lives of almost every Indian. Right from the clothes we wear,

the cellular service we use to the cement from which our house and commercial spaces are

made and the aluminium foil in which are food is served we can find ABGL everywhere.

The ABGL has proved that it’s not just a Multinational corporation but a symbol of Excellence

in service, superior quality and also a pride for every Indian.
